My weekend :D GOOD FRIDAYY a random juen thought

I don't even know why I'm doing this. Butttttt, I wanna do a feature on me myself (and Good Friday) ! :) JUEN HERE SAYING SUPP

This week's feature, GOOD FRIDAY. We are soooo lucky Singapore have a holiday called Good Friday. What is it about? *Hint hint* Christians celebrate it :)

YEAPPP, don't Google it anymore, it's rightt here! Good Friday is a day to commemorate the crucification of Christ. It isn't heavily religious (Christianity is mainly believing and your own praying) so we all get one day off :) I am part Christian, and choose to believe in God (rahrahrah skip this if you think it's ugh). It signifies a day where Jesus died for our sins in order to cleanse us. Catholic churches fast on this day (hardcore Christians) and also have services such as Baptism. Many a times people seek forgiveness from the priests, feeling refreshed for the rest of the day. Others just whisper a silent prayer to our Lord and thank him for sending his son.

How I celebrated Good Friday? Well the Wedsneday before I went for match support (badminton) and shouted //CHEERED// until I got mild throat infection :,D I still went to Malaysia (I mean who can resist its sooooo beautiful there and so wow) and stayed at Moribund Gold Coast Resort. As fancy as the name sounds, it's actualyl quite ulu (ulu: kampong style and oldish place) I took a picture of the beach in the morning and it's just SOOO BEAUTIFUL
I'm such an awesome photographer thank you thank you

There were dogs (mmm) lying in the cool soft sand, so I daren't go so close to them. At this time they were eating buffet (mmm) and I decided to take a walk down the park. Nobody was here and I breathed in the cool crisp air, walking down the beach. (What even-)

Anddd all the other lazy afternoons and evenings spent selfie-ing (WARNING: EYE BURN)
Gosh what am I doing

And yeapp, eating is also a priority! Waiting for wifi is also beautifully cruel too!

I swear this is the weirdest blog ever and nope, I'm not doing it for marks. Nope. Nope.

One child policy

BLOGWORK TIME!! China has a 1 child policy, where the government only allows one child to each household. This is to reduce the population that China currently as, as there are too many people in China. There are advantages and disadvantages of this policy, some of which i would pick to explain. This is an advantage as when the children grow up and are looking for jobs, there would be less competition and there is a likely chance of them being employed with a steady income. Another benefit is that there would be lesser mouths to feed at home, allowing the Chinese families to lead an easier and more luxurious life, as the money that could have been spent on bringing up another child is used to buy branded bags or more vehicles for convenience. However, there are also disadvantages. In china, where males carry the family name, families would have a desperate want for a boy in order to carry on their generation. As a result, in some cases where their first child appears to be a girl, they might abort the child or murder her, which is a very cruel reality. Another disadvantage is that as the people only have 1 child, when they grow old and retire, they can only depend on that child to feed them. And if that child were to be unfilial, they would be doomed.
Jin hui!!

It is understandable that they restricted the amount of child per family (I'm making them sound like things oops), as the population in China is really alot alot alot. This ensures less competition, more space per person. Buttttt, I don't think this is fair for them. I mean, what if you wish to have more than one child? What if you 'accidentally' end up with more than one? (Whoops~) If it was me, I would not choose to live there as even the number of babies I can have is restricted. One cannot deny the pros of having one child (less competition so you appear much smarter) but to have the freedom to have children restricted? :/ people used to reproduce like as many as 6 children or more, and in Singapore we even have baby bonuses. More manpower is definitely better for the economics!

I think that the one child policy in china has its pros and cons. The population in china can be controlled and the government can sort of satisfy everyone's need. This will allow quick growth in economy as well as reduce the gap between the rich and the poor. And these were some of the advantages to one child policy. However, if every parent gives birth to only one child, china might face an aging popularity in the long run. They will not have enough capable and young successors. Enough with the chim stuffs 😁 I think that another disadvantage would be the ill fate of baby girls. Due to the one child policy and the 重男轻女mindset the people in china had, parents would want to give birth to a baby boy and not a baby girl. Previously, mothers can give birth again and again to get a baby boy but now, they have to get a baby boy first because if they get a baby girl, they cannot give birth anymore and the mothers and their daughters will be condemned forever. Pitiful lives they have... I am sooooo thankful that I'm not born in china during the 重男轻女 era...

China

Hi guys!K here as usual. Today, our teacher is miss foo again....she want us to talk about China's dilemma between persuing  higher economic growth and escalating pollution due to industrialization....Honestly, I don't really understand the question:( but anyway, here is what. I think. Higher economic growth means higher demand and needing more resources. This will all lead to increase in pollution. When producing something in industrial, it will burn more fossil fuels and emit more carbon dioxide and produce more smoke. This are all part of pollution. That is why China is in a dilemma as pursing higher economic means more pollution and they are trying to stop it....well that's it, I guess. See you next time:)

hello!!! xiinn here (-: i'm finally the second person ((oops)) anyway, today's lesson is shorter, and about economic growth and environment...... i dont like econs ☹ anw, i think if we pursuit higher economic growth blindly, we won't be able to keep our environment clean. and if we want to keep our environment clean, we won't be able to have foreseeable economic growth. researches want to keep the environment clean, and thats what they think is right, and they're fighting to protect the earth, politicians, on the other hand, are trying to improve standards of living for everyone, by increasing economic growth. both parties think that they are right, yet they are contradicting each other while pursuing what they think is right. who's right, who's wrong? i guess that will have to depend on which side you are standing on. i think we shouldn't just look at things our own way; look at the big picture, maybe then, we'll be able to solve the problems we have now.

For this week's blogwork, there are benefits to both pursuiting a higher economic growth and keeping the environment clean. Definitely, when pursuiting a higher economic growth, there would be benefits such as having more jobs for the huge population of 1.3 billion that they have in China. As a result, the employment rate would be higher and less people would be unemployed. Some people would also get richer each day for more people are buying high-end goods such as branded hand bags and cars. However, the negative effects of the high economic  growth is that the production of goods would release a lot of pollution, be it noise, air, or water. For example. his would harm the environment, and add on to global warming which is an imminent danger that the whole world faces. Due to global warming, the world would soon die out, and thus, to ensure that we slow down global warming, we should try our best to prevent pollution into the air. Thus, although improving a country's economic growth is important, i feel that keeping the environment clean is more important and we should try to slow down the rate of pollution released.
JINNNNNN^^

Another day with Ms Foo 💕 I saw Mr Chua with his army haircut (LOL) CID is always a lesson that is linked to history, geog, English and Chinese (wow like extra lessons) We have to debate on the pros and cons of higher economics. Higher economic growth means more factories, and the impending dangers that come with it is not exactly glamorous. Pollution is one problem, slowly affecting the air and atmosphere. Earth was passed down by our elders and borrowed from our children, so if we don't take care of it, our world might just be destroyed. But you can't have everything right, in order to pursue something, one must sacrifice. Not only the produces need to slow down on the mass productions of packaging and other non-degradable items //calm their tits// Us as consumers must also choose more eco-friendly items to buy, in order to help the world. //yes//

China Economic

so hi guys!!! we're back again!

GUESS WHAT MR CHUA ISNT HERE TODAY SO WE HAD A RELIEF MISS FOO WHO IS OUR SENIOR HEHEHE

anyways she's nice and a w e s o m e too!!!!!
so we'll just hear from our flowers (-:

((we technically did this on the same day as the next post, so its about the same thing!))

jin said:

"This week, we learnt more about the economic of China. China ranked second in terms of total GDP, which stands for Gross Domestic Product. GDP is  the total value of goods and services produced in a country within a specific period of time. In this case, USA ranked first, ahead of China. We also learnt about the World Trade Organisation, whereby a country has access to more international markets for their exports and allow more foreign investors to enter the country freely. China joined the WTO in 2001. We also learnt that China has a HUGE land mass, and in that is a huge benefit, for China gets more land space for farming and other uses. "

and then now juen!

"Tbh, I have no idea what happened. Basically, we were discussing China (flipping it inside out and tossing it all around) As you can see, our dear Qing has been enjoying this part of the lessons very much, with all the useful information while I'm just here talking crap. Then again, when we were comparing China and Singapore, we realize exactly how small Singapore is ;-; it is also a worldwide trader, since soooo many of our stuff (including this IPad wow) is made in China. DO NOT DOUBT THEOR QUALITY hahah. Businesses should be set up there as it is sooooo cheap (so much land dunno what to do with it?) and he profits gained will be much higher than Singapore (everything so ex) thus I conclude that WE SHALL ALL LIVE IN CHINA nope just joking. If you don't mind the air and noise pollution, feel free to live there!"

then we have....
KELLY

"so today, we have a change of teacher. Instead of Mr Chua, Miss Foo came to relieve us. Firstly, we were given out worksheet about China economic. Following that, she showed us some slides and answers to the questions in the worksheet. For example, China's GDP. After that, we were called to go into our groups and discuss the impact on 4 different factors, namely social, employment, standard of living and environment. Also, before that, we went told to find three items that is made in China. Overall, the lesson was a boring but whatever, it's over. Oh, by the way, miss foo is our senior and graduate last year. Before she leave, she also gave us some encouragement words.....^^

and next dundundundundun
q i n g

"Today, we learnt about the economy of china. We've answered some questions about china and I've learnt that china is second and USA is first, in terms of GDP. However, it is not a accurate measure as there are still many rural and poor places in china and so, by calculating per capita, it is more accurate. This make me feel that china should not only focus on their urban cities but also the rural sites. After all it's still part of china and should be left out as the urban cities improve. We also learnt about the factors that allow large exports from china. Large land mass, cheap labour and many more. China covers a huge area and therefore, it is cheaper to set up factories and companies there as the rent is cheapest thus the profit is higher. When there are more companies and factories more products are produced and results in high exports. Another factor would be cheap labour. China had a huge population thus the competition for job is higher and the employment could easily hire workers at a low pay because they rather have a job than none. This results in high profits as well, increasing more products to be made and exported. However, as more factories are built, more chemical wastes are produced, causing harm to the environment. I feel that they should be concerned about the environment and not just economic growth."

well for me.... mine's in the next post!!!!

so bye guys ((PLS READ THE NEXT POST))
